Outlook Express

1. Start the Outlook Express by double-clicking it on your desktop.

2. Go to Tools--->Accounts

3. Click on the Mail Tab and then click Add... then Mail. Type in your Name in the Display name field: (It might already be there if you just configured the news service but you can change it if you want) Click Next.

4. Put a dot next to I already have an email address that I'd like to use. Then type in your email address. It might already be there.

5. Click Next.

6. You should select POP3 as the incoming mail server.

7. Type in pop.brazoriainet.com as the Incoming mail (POP3) server:

8. Type in smtp.brazoriainet.com or as the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: (Make sure you do not transpose the p and the t) Click Next.

9. For Account Name, type in your username also know as login ID. example: your email address is johndoe@brazoriainet.com therefore your POP account is johndoe.

10. Type in your password. Make sure Caps Locks keys are off. Must be in Lowercase.

11. Click Next.

12. Click Finish.

13. You should be back at the Internet Accounts page.

14. To add additional email accounts for yourself just do the same process over. If you are done, click Close.

15. You can check all mail for all accounts

Mozilla Thunderbird

1. How to Set up e-mail Choosing Edit/Preferences..

2. Click Mail & Groups on the left hand side.

3. Click Identity tag

4. In Your Name, type: your real name

5. In Your Email address, type: yourname@brazoriainet.com

6. In Reply-to Address, type: yourname@brazoriainet.com

7. The Organization is optional.

8. Click Mail Server on the left hand side.

9. In Mail server user name, type: your username

10. In Outgoing mail (SMTP) server, type: smtp.brazoriainet.com

11. In Incoming mail (POP) server, type: pop.brazoriainet.com

12. In Mail Server Type, select: POP3 and do not check the leave messages on server after retrieval.

13. Click on More Options...

14. Check Remembered Mail Password if you want.

15. Click OK. Email is now set up. Click OK again or continue to set up Discussion Groups.

16. Click Groups Server on the left hand side. (remember that this is in Edit/Preferences)
    In Discussion groups (News) server, type in the name of any of our news servers from our list.

17. Click OK. News is now set up.
